In todays society, however, I believe　that there are three important characteristics that indicate whether a person is a good parent or not.

　　The first of these traits is the capacity for love. Children must feel loved by their parents if they are going to　grow into well-developed, stable adults. Children who grow up in a house filled with love are relaxed and　peaceful, and do not cause trouble. These children demonstrate good social skills, and are usually well-liked by　others. In contrast, it has been shown that children who grow up in unloving families are anxious and　mean-spirited.

　　Trust is also very important for a childs development. If a parent is always prying into a childs privacy, the　child will think he/she is doing something wrong to deserve such mistrust. This leads to the child hiding things from　the parent, which therefore leads to dishonesty. Also, trust leads to independence. When children are trusted, they　feel more pressure to keep that trust, and therefore act honestly. They will make wise decisions, which will allow　them to grow into independent adults.

　　It is also of utmost importance for a parent to have a well-developed sense of responsibility. A parent must be　able to be present for the child twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The parent must organize everything　for a child, especially one under the age of ten. This requires careful planning and multi-tasking. If a person is　ready to become a parent, they must be ready for all of these added responsibilities.

　　In conclusion, a good parent has a large capacity for love, is trusting, and must be very responsible. Without　these key attributes, the child will suffer and grow into a dysfunctional adult. One must take the job of parenting　very seriously to ensure the childs healthy development. By harnessing the above-mentioned qualities, parents will　ensure that their child will be the best they can be.

　　Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.

　　In the modern life now, more and more people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. They think that will save time so that they can have enough time to do their jobs. But I still prefer to prepare and eat food at home. There several reasons. First of all, you can save money if you eat at home. In general, to get profit, the restaurants ask for more money on the same food you cook at home. That is the waste of money. To save money, you may prefer to prepare you food at home with less money. The second, usually, the food in the restaurants is not what you are expecting. you may dislike the way the restaurant cook the same dishes as you do at home. For example, the other day, I asked for potato in a restaurant. After the first bite, I thought it was so awful. My mom never cooked such potato for me! One need look no further than extreme sports players as examples. Compared to the professionals, they do it to challenge themselves. So challenging and dangerous is this kind of sports that anyone who takes part in is a hero, from whatever perspective. It is these experience that make the players outstanding leaders who can undergo adversities in life more bravely instead of retreating shamefully.

　　However, a coin has two sides. Beneficial andnecessary as the unenjoyable things may be, its significance should not be exaggerated for it is not without its problems. One of the drawbacks concerns how much of such unenjoyable thing one could stand. As it varies from person to person, there will never be a standard for this. We should carefully control it not to let it disturb our daily life too much to destroy our hope and happiness. In such occasions, unfavorable activities may even be counterproductive.

　　I sum, according to the forgoing discussion, it is safe to draw a conclusion that taking part in activities we do not enjoy is a necessity in our lives. However, considerable though the

These people help us make good use of our free time by entertaining us. As a result, we feel inspired as well as relaxed. In other words, we feel energetic again after attending the events. We even feel that we have more to enjoy in life and have new aspirations. For such reasons, these people are worth their high salaries.

　　Third, athletes and entertainers win honors for their countries. For example, after four years’ hard work, many athletes win gold medals at the Olympics Games. They are able to make millions of dollars a year after the games. Such high salaries are justified, because these athletes have won honors for their countries in the most competitive arena and have made their people proud, something few people can even dream of. This is true for entertainers as well. Many actors and actresses receive high salaries after they have won Oscars or prizes at Cannes Films Festival. Those people also deserve high salaries, because they have made a name in films for their country and have made their country better known by people elsewhere in the world.

　　All in all, famous athletes and entertainers merit their high salaries, for their hard work, entertainment they provide, and their contribution to their country. If I had a chance, I would be a famous star who can make millions of dollars a year.

This would always lead to endless baleful competition, which could at last wear down the customers’ confidence towards all products or services in the industry, thus making all advertisements invalid as a whole.
